The Urban Jungle Project is immediately looking for a “Chief of Growth”, to support our growth through marketing and sales activities.

Due to urbanisation and climate change, the liveability of our cities is under pressure. The Urban Jungle Project develops innovative solutions to green where it is otherwise impossible. By marrying nature with technology, we make it possible to place trees, shrubs and perennials on roofs, facades, squares and streets. In this way, we bring nature back into the city, contributing to the liveability of our cities.
What does a “Chief of Growth” do?
As Chief of Growth, you are responsible for organising our growth. Together with our founders, you determine the growth strategy based on ambitious targets. You translate this strategy into a pragmatic approach, consisting of an online marketing and sales funnel and offline sales activities such as sales presentations at potential clients and trade fairs at home and abroad. In this process, you use smart digital tools to structure the business development process and optimise performance based on conversion, with the aim of realising as many jungles as possible!
A random week could look something like this:
Monday: team day at our Cuijk office
- Location: The Urban Jungle Project / Boomkwekerij Ebben (operations), Cuijk
- Activities: Team meeting, coordinating quotations and execution with operations
Tuesday: sales presentations at potential clients
- Location: at clients, wherever they are!
- Activities: preparing and holding presentations and meetings
Wednesday: team day at our office in Culemborg
- Location: The Urban Jungle Project (design studio), Culemborg
- Activities: coordination with design team on progress and elaboration of projects
Thursday: growth hacking day
- Location: The Urban Jungle Project (R&D / commercial office), Amsterdam
- Activities: develop promo content, manage social media, maintain CRM, optimise online sales funnel, set up and send online campaigns
Friday: sales presentations at potential clients
- Location: at clients' premises, wherever they are!
- Activities: preparing and holding presentations and meetings + Friday drinks?!
Can you?
The Urban Jungle Project is a young and ambitious company, with a diverse team of driven people. Our operational people tinker in the garden in their spare time, our techies tinker with sensors in the evenings or row in the Holland 8 at the Olympics, and our commercial people sell their mother-in-law another rooftop garden. We go for gold in everything we do, and that means we work hard to learn as much as we can and get one step better each time. And in the process, of course, we have a lot of fun, because building Jungles in the city is just really cool!
As “Chief of Growth”, you might have the coolest job in the world. At least, if you are:
- Commercially talented
- Fluent in Dutch and English (German and/or French an advantage)
- Able to communicate our mission and innovations convincingly
- Experience in and affinity with online marketing and sales processes
- Up to date with the latest tools in the field of growth hacking
- Accustomed to working in a structured and performance-oriented way
- Independent and able to take responsibility for your own planning
- Possesing a driving licence and don't mind being on the road a lot
- Don't mind making long(er) days
