Willem Groeneveld is just as passionate about his new workspace in Amsterdam as he is about his work as food photographer. His ambition to build a sustainable new photostudio is clearly reflected in the design of this beautiful wooden building in Amsterdam Overamstel. We are honoured to have contributed with an impressive six meters tall Gleditsia triacanthos f. inermis to the patio on the second floor, gently filtering sunlight into the glass facade of the building.
The tree is accompanied by hanging plants on top of the patio and perennials in the front facades of the building. In this project, 3.000 liters of rainwater is buffered in the basement of the building, to water the plants during the growth season.
